Selection
Should I choose a vertical or a horizontal injection molding machine?
Choose a vertical machine if your part involves inserts or overmolding — the mold faces up, so inserts are easy to place, and the machine takes up less floor space. Horizontal machines suit parts molded in a single shot without inserts, and large conventional parts such as buckets and basins.
Related machinesWhat is the difference between a single and a double sliding table machine?
A single sliding table machine has one upper and one lower mold; the lower mold slides out (usually front to back) for loading and unloading. A double sliding table machine has one upper mold and two lower molds that slide left and right alternately, so the clamp keeps working while the operator loads the other mold — higher output, especially for precision insert parts such as connectors.
Related machinesHow many stations can a rotary table machine have?
Rotary machines are available as two-station, three-station and four-station designs, as well as multi-station versions — for example one upper mold with two or three lower molds. The operator loads inserts at one station while the clamp molds at another, and the table can be fitted with a robot for automated production.
Related machinesWhat clamping force range do your rotary machines cover?
Our smallest rotary machine is the 25-ton TFV3-25R2 two-station model, followed by the 35-ton TFV3-35R2, with larger models in the range up to several hundred tons. Number of stations and configuration options such as a bimetallic barrel or dual servo drives are chosen to suit your part.
Related machinesWhat determines the price of a vertical injection molding machine?
Price depends mainly on clamping force, machine type (fixed, sliding, rotary, two-color, silicone), number of stations, and the configuration — controller, servo system, barrel and screw, and on LSR machines the silicone dosing system. Send us your part details and we will recommend a configuration and quote.
Custom engineeringWhat is the difference between a standard motor and a servo motor drive?
A standard machine uses a three-phase asynchronous motor running at constant speed, with pressure and flow controlled by dual proportional valves — excess oil returns to the tank even at standstill. A servo drive adjusts motor speed to deliver only the pressure and flow each movement needs, which significantly reduces power consumption.
Related machinesHow does a high-speed vertical machine differ from a standard machine?
High-speed machines use a servo hydraulic system and parallel (multi-circuit) movements, so ejection and screw recovery overlap with mold opening. In one example, a cycle of about 10 seconds on a standard machine is reduced to about 6 seconds. They are designed for thin-wall parts such as connectors.
Related machinesHow do ounce ("A") ratings convert to tonnage?
The ounce ("A") rating is common in Hong Kong; mainland China usually uses tons. Common equivalents: 4A ≈ 55T, 6A ≈ 120T, 8A ≈ 140T, 12A ≈ 160T, 16A ≈ 180T, 18A ≈ 200T and 24A ≈ 250T.

Can I mold bakelite (phenolic) on a standard injection molding machine?
Thermoset phenolic needs a dedicated bakelite machine: its barrel and screw differ from a standard machine and the mold must be designed for thermosets. Bakelite powder plasticizes at about 70–90 °C and cures at around 160 °C, so precise barrel and mold temperature control is essential.
Related machinesDoes bakelite powder need to be pre-dried?
No — bakelite powder should not be dried before plasticizing. Because it contains about 40% filler, it needs relatively high injection pressure, and the mold should have vents (or a venting step during mold opening) to release the moisture and gases produced during curing.
Related machinesWhat makes a BMC injection machine different?
A BMC machine has a force-feeding unit, usually plunger type, that pushes the dough-like material into the barrel. Barrel temperature is typically controlled with constant-temperature water or oil, and the injection unit can be plunger or screw type depending on how much glass-fiber breakage the part can tolerate.
Related machinesHow should LCP be dried before molding?
Dry LCP at about 150 °C for 4–6 hours, to a residual moisture below 0.02% at a dew point of −35 °C. A vacuum dehumidifying dryer is recommended, as standard dryers cannot fully remove the moisture.
Related machinesHow do I choose materials for two-color molding?
The two materials must be compatible so they bond well, and their shrinkage rates should be close to avoid weak bonds and warping. In almost all cases the hard material is molded first and the soft material second.
Related machinesWhat should I watch when molding transparent materials?
Use a dedicated screw and a nozzle with independent temperature control. Use a relatively high melt temperature without degrading the resin, a multi-stage slow–fast–slow injection profile, low screw speed and back pressure, minimal residence time, and precise, relatively high mold temperature.
Related machinesWhy do clear silicone parts turn yellow, and how can it be reduced?
Silicone gradually oxidizes in air during long-term use. Yellowing can be reduced by using high-transparency silicone, adding an anti-yellowing curing agent, and controlling mold temperature and cure time — but it can only be slowed, not eliminated entirely.

Do vertical LSR machines suit insert molding?
Yes. Vertical LSR machines are used whenever a component is placed in the mold and silicone is molded onto it, such as medical parts or tubes with a metal rod inside. With a rotary or double sliding table (one upper, two lower molds), the operator loads and cleans one lower mold during the cure time of the other; an adjustable vacuum system is optional to prevent bubbles.
Related machinesHow is a two-color mold set up on a two-color machine?
The two halves on the moving side are identical, while the two halves on the fixed side are different. After rotating 180° about the center, the moving-side halves must match the fixed-side halves. Check the machine's minimum and maximum mold height and ejector hole spacing when designing the mold.
Related machinesWhat wall thickness and draft should I design for a soft overmold?
For electronic products the soft layer is typically 2–3 mm thick, and should not be thinner than 1 mm or thicker than 4 mm. Give the soft material about 1° more draft than the hard material, and maximize the bonding area or add mechanical interlocks to prevent peeling.
Related machinesHow does the machine protect the mold during closing?
Clamping is split into two stages: the mold closes under low pressure first, and only builds high clamping pressure once it is fully closed. If a part or misplaced insert prevents full closing within the set time, the mold opens automatically and an alarm sounds.
Related machinesWhat mold size does my machine need to accept?
Check the mold's length, width and height against the machine: the mold must fit the platen and mold-height range, otherwise the machine runs unstably or parts are short-shot. Clamping force and shot capacity must also match the part.
Custom engineeringHow should molds be maintained on cable overmolding machines?
During production, check that guide pillars, ejector pins and slides move smoothly and are lubricated, and that mold clamping screws are tight. When stopping, dry the cavity, core and moving parts and apply rust preventive or grease; keep a maintenance record for each mold.
Related machinesDelivery
How should a new vertical machine be installed?
Place the machine on level ground about 50 cm from the wall, on the anti-vibration pads supplied, and level it. Connect cooling water, fill the tank with SAE 68 (or equivalent) hydraulic oil to above the red line, then set the process for your part.
After-sales serviceWhat power supply do the machines need?
In China machines run on 380 V / 50 Hz three-phase power, with a dedicated breaker that is not shared with other equipment; the heaters are supplied separately at 220 V single-phase. For other regions, voltage and frequency are matched to the local supply.
Custom engineeringIs the machine tested before it ships?
Yes. Every machine is trial-run at the factory, and pressure, speed, stroke, time and temperature settings from the trial are preset before shipment. Customers can also witness the trial run and accept the machine at our factory.
QualityDoes a low-worktable machine need a tall workshop?
No. The low worktable design keeps the overall machine height down and the operator working height comfortable, which lowers the requirement on workshop height.
Related machinesDo you provide commissioning and operator training?
Yes. Our engineers can commission the machine, run mold trials and train your operators, either at our factory or at your site.
After-sales serviceWarranty & Service
What warranty do your machines carry?
Our machines are covered by a one-year warranty.
After-sales serviceHow often should the hydraulic oil be changed?
Check the oil level monthly and top up if it is below the red line. Replace the hydraulic oil and clean the oil filter screen after one year of use.
After-sales serviceWhat routine checks keep the electrical system reliable?
Regularly tighten wire terminals and contactor connections, clean cabinet fans and dust filters, and clean motors once a year. Check that heater bands are tight and thermocouples clean, and replace contactors that overheat, buzz or spark.
After-sales serviceWhy is injection pressure unstable from shot to shot?
The usual cause is a nozzle that leaks or is partly blocked, so one shot is short and the next is overpacked. Increase decompression, check the seal between nozzle and sprue, raise nozzle and sprue temperature, and check the screw for foreign matter.
After-sales serviceWhat causes unusual hydraulic noise?
Common causes are low oil level (the pump draws in air), oil viscosity that is too high, damaged pump bearings or misalignment, and a clogged or worn filter. Check oil level and condition first, then the pump and filter.
After-sales serviceWhat should I do if a machine has been flooded?
Disconnect all power and do not start the pump motor. Remove the controller battery, have the electrical components cleaned with alcohol and dried, and test hydraulic oil for water — replace it if contaminated. Contact our service team before restarting.
